Veolia Environnement returns to Concarneau

The final stage of the voyage for Roland Jourdain’s monohull. After being unloaded from the cargo ship on the 12th March in Zeebrugge, Belgium, which brought it back from Australia, Veolia Environnement made it safely back to its base in Concarneau.  With an audible sigh of relief from the technical team who were waiting to have the boat back on home ground. Since Wednesday the building yard has been able to get on with a complete cleaning of the hull before getting it into the shelter of the Kairos hangar…

Veolia Environmental Services delivers a new PFI with succes, in West Berkshire, United Kingdom

West Berkshire Council has awarded Veolia Environmental Services (UK) Plc a 25-year integrated PFI waste contract representing cumulative total revenues of 667 million euros and is targeting a long-term 49% recycling rate as part of a major boost to recycling in the area. The decision strengthens Veolia’s position as the UK PFI waste market leader and follows its nomination by the Council as preferred bidder on 30 May 2007.

Veolia Environnement Unable to Compete In The Transat

2 months from the Transat start, Roland Jourdain has taken the regretful decision not to take part in the English transatlantic race, which starts on May 11th 2008.Since dismasting in the Barcelona World Race and despite huge efforts from his technical team, the delays in shipping the boat back and the build of the new mast have forced the team to fall behind schedule.
