Good habits for living well in our city
What can we do for our environment and health?
When you think about it, you can do a lot of simple things which, altogether, make a difference to your city, the people living there and to the planet as a whole. Air, water, natural resources are precious, and so is our health.
We need them all for our well-being.
Just take a minute to think of everyday simple things that you can do.
You might for example:
- Turn off the tap when you brush your teeth or soap up your hands to avoid wasting water.
- Turn off the light when you leave your room to save electricity.
- When you go shopping, ask your parents to take their own bags or baskets to avoid using plastic bags from the supermarket. This educes waste.
- When riding the bus or tram with your friends, don't throw away your rubbish and keep the bus neat and tidy for all passengers to enjoy.
At home, in your garden, in the streets, shopping, on holidays, every gesture you make with your family and friends is important for our surroundings and health.
