Pick up your pencils!
The "Flags from around the world" project started in St Denis in La Réunion on 1 March 2005.
A dozen schools in the community enrolled and are taking part in this contest.
The winning class will be chosen after the Easter holidays at a meeting of the local jury to be held on 4 April. This jury will be composed of two representatives from the town hall and two agents from the CGE. The winning drawing will then be sent to Paris on 8 April 2005 for a selection on a national level.
All the pupils are delighted to be able to take part in this project and express their simple but essential ideas for protection of the environment through symbolic images of La Réunion.
Several drawings have already been handed in and show the real interest of the children and their teachers in this project related to protection of the environment.
